National Motor Museum, Beaulieu
Until 8 September 2024
The National Motor Museum is always worth a visit, but if you head there before 8 September, you can enjoy a brilliant photo exhibition showcasing the hyper-detailed photography of Rick Guest. The show includes feats of engineering, personal endeavour, endurance and achievement that have pushed the automotive boundaries.
Guest’s meticulous approach, and passion for his subject, has resulted in a range of beautifully lit and detailed precision images of objects in close-up.
These include the watch worn by World Land Speed Record breaker Henry Segrave, motorcycle and F1 racer Mike Hailwood’s crash helmet, the goggles worn by Percy Lambert, the first person to drive a car 100 miles in an hour, and the steering wheel of seven-times F1 Champion, Lewis Hamilton.
